Pegasus Spiele Verlags- und Medienvertriebsgesellschaft mbH, the company's personal title, has been active with its managing directors and owners Karsten Esser and Andreas Finkernagel since 1993. At least since the nomination and the success of "Pandemie" (2009) for Game of the Year and the other nominations of "In the Changing Times - The Dice Game: Bronze Age" (2010) as well as "Strasbourg" and "Village" for the "Kennerspiel des Jahres".

In 2011 and 2012, the Hessian company established itself not only as a distributor but also as a publisher of board game games. Pegasus Spiele is continuing the tradition of well-known German publishers in this area. More than 5,000 games and toys are already licensed through strong trading partners. This also includes 33 own brands, in addition to innovative board games such as “Pandemie” or “Junta”, cult card game series such as “Munchkin” and “Werewolves”.

A network of 300 voluntary games that the publisher helps to make known its products such as the export hit “Mondo” and the party game hit “Pictomania” in German-speaking Europe at trade fairs and events. Freelance work and 18 permanent employees of the publishing house work at the headquarters in Friedberg, Hesse, to make game worlds tangible every day.
